Wild Wild West

Miles Driven: 1,100+
States Visited: 3
Seeing tons of cool sites: Priceless

Earlier this month, Cressie and I took a trip out West. On the trip, we went through Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, visiting Las Vegas, Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire State Park, Brianhead Ski Resort, Zion National Park, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, and Red Rocks Canyon. If you want a nice overview of our trip on a map, check this out! If you want to see the pictures, they are all here and the highlights will slowly be added to Flickr. For a more in-depth description of the trip, read on!

Thoughts on Beatles (Love) Cirque show

While the idea and some of the individual acrobatics were impressive, overall I wasn’t impressed (although it was still fun to see and I enjoyed going). I think to enjoy this show you have to be a hard-core Beatles fan. Cressie, for example, knew every song and really enjoyed it. I knew maybe 1 out of every 3 songs. They were apparently tryig to use the music to tell a story, but I think you had to know the music very well to follow the story. I think I would have enjoyed another show like KA much better where it didn’t require knowing a bands entire history to enjoy the show. The idea of the Cirque was definitely neat though and I’ll probably catch a different Cirque show at some point.
